MK6 Plus Cartridge Heater 40W @ 12V with Strain Relief
This is a custom made cartridge heater that accepts 12 volt, 40 watt power. It's a tiny powerhouse and can get *extremely* hot. You can use this in your MakerBot MK6 Plus StepStruder® to melt filament in the MK6 Plus Aluminum Thermal Core. It's custom made for us and is a great looking, efficient heater cartridge.
*MakerBot® Industries does not offer returns on this product after use or installation. If you plan on using this heater cartridge for a non-Makerbot MK6 Plus StepStruder application, no returns or warranty is implied or available.*
If you are planning to use the cartridge heater with your MakerBot®, we require the use of the MakerBot Safety Cutoff Kit. This cutoff switch is intended to prevent your extruder from overheating by switching off power to the heater before it gets dangerously hot.
It's important to be safe with this equipment, and so do not run a MakerBot® with a cartridge heater without the Safety Cutoff Kit.
