This is the latest hotness from the Arduino Team. This time, they've really outdone themselves with a really nicely done board.
The Arduino MEGA boasts the ATMEGA1280 microprocessor. This beast of a chip gives it a ton of features. Here's a tiny list:
* 53 I/O Pins
* 8K RAM
* 4K EEPROM
* 128K Flash space
* 4 Hardware Serial interfaces
* 14 PWM pins
* 16 analog input pins
Needless to say, this is quite the beast. Not only that, but the crazy Arduino guys managed to make it compatible with existing shield designs. What a nice bunch of dudes to make all your existing toys work with the new design.
