Product Description
We're very excited to be able to offer a new product for expert Cupcake users which has come about as the result of some development within the MakerBot community. It's a special daughterboard (or "shield" as we like to say) for our original "3rd Generation" motherboard, as shipped with the Cupcake CNC.
This shield adds a fourth 10-pin stepper driver port as well as 4th-generation e-stop cables. For more information, see the project's Thingiverse page or the wiki with build instructions.
Note that, while this does make it easier than ever to add a stepper-based extruder to your Cupcake, this is a community-supported project which is still undergoing development. To make this work, you'll need to be familiar with creating and editing custom Skeinforge profiles.
